Long Island surf lessons for people of all ages have numerous benefits and are are a great summer time activity.

Work Out

Surfing burns around 500- 600 calories an hour using many muscles in the process. The main muscles used will be your back and shoulders. Your core and lower body are involved  as much as the back and shoulder. Paddling will be the activity that uses the most amount of your energy. Prior to getting in the water, make sure to stretch your full body. This way you can stay surfing in the water longer and avoid injury.
